CROP HEALTH THERAPY YIELDS IMPRESSIVE RESULTS
IN MULTIPLE CROPS

Trials deliver dramatic quality, quantity increases in cotton,
tomatoes, potatoes, and melons

TULARE, CALIF. — (Feb. 8, 2005) — Farmers, university researchers, and agricultural consultants from the Midwest to the West Coast are reporting significant yield and quality increases in crops treated with Stoller Crop Health Therapy products.

  • Recent studies conducted in California showed tomato plants drip irrigated with Stoller Crop Health Therapy products produced 30 percent to 60 percent more marketable yield, while maintaining the Brix level, than plants in control plots. The treated tomato plants also showed an increase in plant and root vigor with twice the root mass and double the stem diameter than the control plants. The Woodland, Calif. study, conducted by the independent research firm Beem Consulting, included plots treated weekly with Stoller Crop Health Therapy product Root Feed™ and the nutritional product Harvest More™ Urea Mate. Beem studied root development, plant growth, yields, and crop quality.
  • In a trial conducted at the University of Idaho in 2004, potato crops drip-irrigated with Root Feed bi-weekly produced 72 percent more tubers per hill than untreated crops. In a separate trial, plants treated with Root Feed also produced 67 percent more No. 1-grade tubers per hill than plants in the control plot.
  • In trials conducted in October 2004 at a Texas A&M University experiment station near Weslaco, Texas, melon crops drip-irrigated weekly with five gallons per acre of Root Feed produced 130 percent more crates of fruit than untreated plants. The treated crops also yielded 308 percent more marketable fruit weight in the size categories of 9 to15. Further, the Root Feed-treated plants produced sweeter fruits, as the Brix percentage was almost 28 percent higher in the treated crop than the untreated.
  • The exploratory research conducted on four test plots near Lubbock, Texas, cotton crops drip-irrigated with one pint of Sugar Mover once a week for six weeks beginning at first bloom increased overall lint yield by an average of 107 pounds per acre compared with untreated crops. The treated crops also yielded a return on investment $80 per acre higher than untreated crops.

“Trial after trial, our research demonstrates that Crop Healthy Therapy, when applied to crops as diverse as tomatoes, potatoes, melons, and cotton, results in significant increases in both the quality and quantity of the yield,” explained Dr. Albert Liptay, research director of StollerUSA.

“By supplying supporting nutrients and other hormone co-factors during the appropriate plant growth stages, Crop Health Therapy helps crops maintain appropriate hormone balance inside the plant during the different stages of growth. This allows the roots to thrive, resulting in healthier plants better able to withstand stress and reach their full genetic potential,” said Liptay.

StollerUSA manufactures and markets Crop Health Therapy products designed for a plant’s specific needs throughout the four stages of plant growth: germination, vegetative growth, flowering, and maturity.
