Farm Journal's Corn College

Corn College Success
With fantastic weather to set the mood for another successful Farm Journal Corn College, StollerUSA greeted over 400 growers and supporters at the elite event representing the best in the corn industry. Attendees gathered from all over the country, flying in on their own planes or riding their Harley motorcycles to the event in order to enhance their knowledge of the most up-to-date technology and resources offered to corn growers today.
Jerry Stoller, founder and CEO of StollerUSA was present to discuss increasing concerns among growers looking to protect their expensive seed investment. Stoller expressed these growing concerns during technical sessions held at StollerUSA’s demo plot near the expo booth. Four days of expo interest and six technical sessions brought attendees to realize how important Stoller products were to increasing their bottom line.
Technical Sessions Explain Dramatic
Bio-Forge® Results
The technical sessions explained firsthand what the Stoller line of products provides to plants: full genetic potential, advanced stress inhibitors and protection for their investment. The dramatic results of Bio-Forge®, in the nearby demo plot highlighted more robust root systems, no or few brace roots and thicker stalks when compared to the control. Bio-Forge excels at protection when weather conditions are harsh.
Bio-Forge plants seemed taller and had stronger emergence in the unusually cool and wet soil uncommon to southern Illinois this time of year. Initially the biggest difference we noticed in the Stoller demo plot at Corn College was in digging the plants up for our expo booth. Corn treated with Bio-Forge was more difficult to get out of the ground because of its substantial root mass.
Overall, Stoller technical sessions enticed new conversations among growers hungry for ways to protect their investment and enhance yield potential. The 2009 Corn College event was top notch and provided StollerUSA and attendees an opportunity to discuss the technology Stoller has to maximize genetic expressions and reduce plant stress. Graduates of the seminar took home experiences to put Stoller technology to work for them!
Demo Plot Observations

Dramatic brace roots above ground show how untreated plants look.

The mass root system on the left (Bio-Forge® treated) and the smaller, weaker root system on the right (untreated).

The left shows an untreated plant with brace roots exhibiting a weak root system compared to the right, Bio-Forge® treat corn with higher yields and a strong underground root system.

Roots on the left are above ground compared to plants on the right treated with Bio-Forge® are more numerous and all underground roots.
