Corn College, July 22

Day two of Corn College began early. Farmers gathered around to participate in the U.S. Farm Report taping of their Marketing Roundtable. Experts entered into a lively discussion on how to manage risks in the challenging markets ahead.

There’s been lots of talk on planting specifics, soil compression, tilling options, and the mechanics of farming.  But clearly, Stoller is offering something different with its yield-enhancing technology that focuses on the health of the plants…beginning at the roots.  The roots are the brains of the plant. Whatever is happening above ground with your plant is a reflection of what is happening below in the root system.

Plants dug up in the nearby Corn College demo plot and area Farm Journal plots using Stoller’s Bio-Forge clearly demonstrate the impact. When farmers stop in to inspect the difference between corn treated with Bio-Forge and the control plants, there is a visible difference.

Founder and CEO, Jerry Stoller, was on hand to explain how Stoller products manage a plant’s hormone balance throughout the plant growth cycle to assure a robust root system, healthier plants and enhanced yields.  Bio-Forge and the entire Stoller product line, are designed to maximize the genetic expression of a plant. And that translates directly to the farmer’s bottom line.

The day continued with great conversations and questions from the farmers….on how they can put this technology to work for them.

After the graduating class headed out, we all cleaned up and headed to the sponsor gathering.  It was great meeting wtih other sponsors and the many Top Producer and Farm Journal editors. It gave us all a chance to review on how well the event went and what would make it an even better experience for the farmer.

Now off to get some shut eye! The second class is coming to Corn College tomorrow – bright and early!
