Stoller products are working to keep plants stress-free across the country as the crew flew to Arkansas to visit Billy Tripp, Perry Galloway & George Friedrich earlier this week.
All three growers are focused on producing high yields on their respective crops using Stoller’s Bio-Forge, Sugar Mover & other yield enhancing products.
The trip included visiting several different types of crops including contest plots for corn and soybeans and fields of rice, peanuts, strawberries, watermelons, blueberries, blackberries and ornamental turf.
Both Billy & Perry are entered in this year’s national yield contests – but that’s not all they have in common. Both agree it’s important to stay focused on the fields to keep crops healthy and strong throughout the entire growing season. Each grower scouts fields regularly checking for weeds, insects, disease and overall health.
With the hot, dry weather Arkansas has been facing all spring, Billy & Perry agree Stoller products are the key to the success they’ve experienced, especially concerning any stress caused by the environment. Many irrigation systems have hardly shut off since planting ceased providing a constant stream of water to the fields.
Even under these conditions both contest plots look to push well beyond the state average and are in the running for contest yield winners. Corn fields were well above 10 feet high, tasseled and pollinating, ears were 18 rows around and the entire field was uniform as we looked across.
As Perry took us on a tour of his farm he explained how important it is to treat plants before stress hits. “The earlier the better.”
We couldn’t agree more . . . the earlier Stoller products are applied, the earlier your crops can be stress-free.
Stay tuned for more from the contest plots and these southern boys as they begin to harvest in a few weeks!
