The 18th US Ag Associates comes to a close.

Conference Founder Jerry Stoller challenges the participants to think of new ways to impact crop production.

With over 45 presentations complete, the 18th US Ag Associates conference comes to a close.  Once again researchers, crop consultants, Ag experts and innovative growers leave with a sense of excitement regarding what has been accomplished and what is on the brink of discovery.

With University Research presented from North Carolina State Unviersity, Penn State University, University of Florida, University of Alberta, University of California, and Iowa State University there was ample third-party, unbiased validation of the impact of Stoller technology.

Advancements presented by the Stoller Group R&D team have many excited by the potential of products soon to come.

Invaluable contributions and insight from the international experts from Brazil and Australia to China and India added to the excitement and energy of the proceedings.

Founder of Stoller Enterprises and the US Ag Associates Conference, Jerry Stoller,  presided over the event and brought the heady three-day session to a successful end.

As one attendee shared, “This unique information sharing conference gets me pumped about what is possible.  I look forward to digging in and helping my customers apply what I learned here. Each conference is better than the last!”

Stoller technology boosts the root system ..ideal for high-stress turf situations.

Recent grass and turf trials have created a stir.  Enhanced root growth and root mass afford better stress resistance in many types of grass. This is of particular interest when turf is subject to high traffic and frequent mowing.  Initial studies show the density of the root mass, new root shoot growth and length of the root system all contribute to the health and quality of the turf.

Research conducted on the West Coast is creating lots of excitement on how technology— proven in the agricultural industry —might apply and benefit the turf industry.

Stoller China shows dramatic impact of Root Power

Greenhouse melon are planted in early spring. Because of the cold weather, the plants grow slowly,and the rate of malformed fruit is very high.  The team in China conducted a study using Root Power to fortify and enhance the health of the melon plants.

What they observed were substantially larger, more quickly growing plants with larger, deeper green leaves. In addition the treated plants had more flowers and bigger flowers. The end result was a 5% plus increase in melon weight and an overall 20% increase in yield.

The conclusion researchers came to:

•Root Power can improve the vegetative growth of melon in cold weather.

The length of melon vines of treatment increased 22.4% compared to the control.

•Root Power can increase the number of female flowers.

The number of female flowers per vine was 46.4% higher than control.

•Root Power can enhance the yield and quality of melon.

Compared with control, the fruit cracking rate decreased 19.5%, and the malformed fruit rate decreased 22.9%.

Compared with control, the weight per melon increased 5.2%, the yield per plant increased 20.9%.

•Root Power has an obvious positive effect on melon early maturity. Thereby allowing the grower to capitalize on the higher prices paid for early melons.

Alfalfa study shows the benefits of Stoller Technology.

Denny Wildman from Advanced Ag East of Ohio  presented trial data on a variety of crops. He worked with Auburn Ag in New York on some interesting alfalfa trails. The use of Stoller’s Folizyme-based technology offers improved plant health. Treated plants displayed more stems per crown while untreated plants displayed substantially more insect damage. The end result was better and more forage/feed for the farmer.

Dr. Orzolek’s research using Stoller’s newest technologies.

Dr. Orzolek's research using STO-01 and STO-13.

Just in From Penn State University , Dr. Orzolek shared his results from a tomato disease suppression study and a potato trial.

Stoller’s experimental product STO-01 may allow tomato growers to reduce the amount of fungicides they apply.  The initial studies look very promising.  STO-01 promotes rapid cell division and is effective at suppressing diseases.
Working with the Stoller R&D team, Dr. Orzolek conducted trials on potato crops  two and four weeks before harvest. Using Stoller’s experimental product STO-13, Orzolek was surprised to  learn that he was able to increase the yield and tuber size at a very late stage in the plant growth cycle.
