Bio-Forge Seed Treatment Offered By O’Brien Hybrids

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

We visited O’Brien Hybrids in Brooklyn, WI earlier this week to learn why they offer Bio-Forge seed treatment to their growers. They’ve been offering Bio-Forge seed treatment as an option for the last two years because it’s simple and it works.

Owner Dan O’Brien explained that farmers today can’t afford not to use it when growers are seeing a $25-75 return on their investment. O’Brien’s customers saw an increase in root mass and stalk diameter throughout the growing season and an increase in yields this fall ranging from 5-15 bu/acre.

Listen to Dan O’Brien as he explains why they continue to offer Bio-Forge seed treatment to their customers.

Wisconsin Farmer Increases Yields with Bio-Forge Seed Treatment

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Steve Holcomb from Monticello, WI is finishing up his harvest this fall with the best yields he’s ever seen on his farm. Holcomb started using Bio-Forge seed treatment last year and was so impressed he decided to seed treat all of his corn this spring. When harvest rolled around he found his crop yielded 5-15 bu/acre more than his control plot.

To top things off, Holcomb saw yields higher than he’s ever seen on his land. An average of 220 bu/acre on his corn acres, the Wisconsin dairy farmer was excited to find a product that was cost effective and produced great results. Holcomb milks 90 cows and farms 400 acres of corn, soybeans and alfalfa in South-central Wisconsin.

Listen to Holcomb’s review and learn how Bio-Forge can boost your bottom-line!

Cullers sets a New World Record!!! 160.6 bu/acre soybeans

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

(Stark City, MO) Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and the team from the Missouri Soybean Association presented Kip Cullers with an award of achievement on behalf of the 100 Bushel Club.

Area and Ag press were in Stark City to witness the presentation and hear Kip explain the details of the intensive crop management program that allowed him to reach the new world record soybean yield.  By contrast typical Missouri soybean yields are around 40 bu/acre.

Cullers credits adding Stoller’s Bio-Forge to his seed treatment program for building the robust root system his contest crop needed to withstand stress. Cullers used a herbicide “burn down” to create plant branching. In addition plants had to endure extremely hot temperatures for three weeks straight in the late summer months.

Learn more about the Stoller products used by Cullers. Listen to Cullers review the crop progress and recap at the end of season.

Congratulations Kip! And thanks for the chance to be part of this exciting effort.

End of Season Visit in Stark City MO

Kip Cullers reviews highlights of 2010 Growing Season.

Stopped by to chat with Kip Cullers this week. We chatted about the challenges of this year’s growing season. Unlike 2009–the 2010 season had plenty of heat units. There were three weeks he pinpointed where the crops just got no relief.   Even the nights were sultry and stressful.

In summary he felt he learned a few things this year…but is hoping to mix it up again next growing season. Mix it up how? He wouldn’t give us specifics…but knowing Kip he is determined to push the envelope in his contest plots.

It’s been fun watching Kip take on the yield challenge in both soybeans and corn.

Can’t wait to hear what the final results are!!!

Even more exciting will be the chance to hear about

some of the take aways from 2010 that other farmers can use as they work for higher yields in their own operations.
