Kip Cullers at the StollerUSA Farm Progress Booth

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Just had a quick visit with Kip Cullers at the Stoller booth. He is a busy man again at this Farm Progress Show.

He brought some soybean plants treated with Bio-Forge and other Stoller Products.  That plant is a real crowd stopper. With its branching and amazing pod set…lots of farmers are stopping by to examine it for themselves.  To see our coverage of Kip Cullers and his work with StollerUSA simply click here.

Its great seeing farmers share ideas on how to break the yield barrier. Lots of brainstorming, ideas and enthusiasm.  It’s not just the temps that make the Stoller booth in the Varied Industries Tent the HOT place to be !!!

Stop by and check it out

Rainy Day in Boone means lots of ponchos

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Farm Progress kicked off and mother nature blessed us with a bountiful downpour. That means crowds of poncho covered farmers flocked to the Varied Industry Tent….which is right were Stoller is located.

We had a crowd… and our Grower Testimonial Banners stopped folks short. Lots of interest of how Kip Cullers–Stark City, MO;   Jim Jensen–Minden, NE and Rick Hurley–Emmetsburg, IA are using Stoller technology and Bio-Forge to increase their yields.

It is predicted to clear off…but I am guessing by the interest our crowds will continue.

Setting Up and Getting Ready in Boone IA

Monday, August 30th, 2010

We have arrived and are assembling our 2010 Farm Progress booth site.

We’ll be sharing product information and the stories of Real Farmers experiencing Real Results.   Kip Cullers will be stopping in with some of the amazing soybean plants that he has treated with Bio-Forge and other Stoller products.

We will have university data available too.

Plus you can sign up  for a chance to win Bio-Forge. Enough Bio-Forge to treat a 20 acre test plot…experience the yield-enhancing capability for yourself.  Hope to see you here!

Pods…Top to Bottom

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

The weather broke and Kip’s crops were enjoying temps in the upper 80 degree range when we stopped into his soybean contest plots in Stark City.

Once again Kip stressed how important the root system was to the results he was seeing today. And how much the Stoller technology did to enhance the root health and growth…while also helping with the pod fill and ear fill.

His strategy to create soybean plants that branch has been successful. But Kip shared that even on his record breaking plants in 2007 he did not see the pods filled out from top to bottom. It is truly impressive.  And we are all itching to see what the yield monitor says in October!

Photos from Kip Cullers’ Field on August 9th

Friday, August 13th, 2010

The plants were in the R-5 stage of growth (for about 15 days) at the time of this observation.  This plant was taken from the middle of the field.

Plants in the field were very green, flowering was still occurring, pods were filling.

Seeding rate was 170,000 per acre.   There has been about 10+ days of high temperature, and as such, Kip irrigates every day when the temperature is that high.

He  sprayed  8 times for Japanese beetles (Penncap-M and Acephate).

The plant was de-leafed, although most of the petioles remained, which can be seen in these photos.     Pod count was 629 on this plant.

Projected harvest is in October. …things are looking quite extraordinary!
