The last six months have been less than ideal for crop conditions between the harsh winter, cold temperatures and nonstop precipitation. Through all this StollerUSA continues to see positive results – even under stress conditions.
The photo below compares wheat that was treated with Bio-Forge ST in Nebraska. The plant on the left was seed treated at 2 oz/cwt and planted last fall. It is evident that the treated plant is taller, greener and produced larger roots for maximum nutrient uptake. This healthier plant is now equipped to withstand more stress throughout summer and produce higher yields this fall.
Check back as we continue to report findings from the fields this spring and summer.

Reduce early season stress. This spring’s cold, wet soils are causing significant stress to crops, costing grower’s yield potential they may never recover.
Manage early-season crop stress with Bio-Forge. Bio-Forge helps crops overcome stress caused by cool, wet soils and helps tolerate stress throughout the season.
How does it work? Bio-Forge up-regulates the key genes associated with stress tolerance and root development. Its unique formulation improves hormone balance to keep roots growing for improved nutrient uptake and optimal growth, under the worst conditions.
Bio-Forge’s application flexibility allows seed treatment, in-furrow, post-emergence applications or during later growth stages in combination with other products.
Benefits of Bio-Forge:
- Proven to help crops overcome stress of cool, wet soil conditions
- Improves germination and early seedling vigor to get plants off to a strong start
- Up-regulates the key genes associated with stress tolerance and root development
- Improves hormone balance to keep roots growing for maximum nutrient uptake
- Applies easily — on-seed or in-furrow at planting or as a tank-mix option during later stages of growth

The USDA released their crop progress report on Monday, April 22 and as expected the country is extremely behind on planting.
On average only 4% of the nation’s corn crop is in the ground – up 2% from last week. The cold, rainy (or in some cases snowy) weather is not helping the farmers out this spring.
Last year growers were struggling to keep up with planting thanks to the perfect planting conditions they experienced. In comparison, last year at this time 26% of corn crops were planted.
Let’s hope fields dry out and the temperatures rise a bit for everyone. We’ll check back next week to see where planting stands. In the meantime you can see this week’s USDA crop progress report by clicking here.
