Bio-Forge ST Helps Plants Survive Stress Conditions

The last six months have been less than ideal for crop conditions between the harsh winter, cold temperatures and nonstop precipitation. Through all this StollerUSA continues to see positive results – even under stress conditions.

The photo below compares wheat that was treated with Bio-Forge ST in Nebraska. The plant on the left was seed treated at 2 oz/cwt and planted last fall. It is evident that the treated plant is taller, greener and produced larger roots for maximum nutrient uptake. This healthier plant is now equipped to withstand more stress throughout summer and produce higher yields this fall.

Crop Progress – A Cold, Wet Spring

The USDA released their crop progress report on Monday, April 22 and as expected the country is extremely behind on planting.

On average only 4% of the nation’s corn crop is in the ground – up 2% from last week. The cold, rainy (or in some cases snowy) weather is not helping the farmers out this spring.

Last year growers were struggling to keep up with planting thanks to the perfect planting conditions they experienced. In comparison, last year at this time 26% of corn crops were planted.

Arkansas Grower Survives Drought & Herbicide Damage with Bio-Forge

Billy Tripp was told to plow up his herbicide damaged field in 2011. Instead, he tried something new, StollerUSA’s Bio-Forge. Within the first few days Billy saw plants turn green and start to grow. As the season progressed he realized there would be a crop to harvest. It made him a believer.

Then there was 2012. Everyone knows the story there. One of the worst droughts this country has seen in more than 40 years. Billy quickly saw neighboring fields dry up, turn yellow and stop growing. Everyone was pushing as much water as they could through their irrigation systems, but even that wasn’t enough. Learning from 2011, Billy knew his fields would survive the drought. When harvest rolled around last fall he was anxious to read the yield monitor – unlike most of his neighbors. The result? A yield of 290 bu/acre!
